Project Overview

Key Responsibilities

Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
Develop detailed programming specifications.
Write and/or generate code, compile data-driven programs, maintain, and conduct unit tests.
Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations.

Qualifications & Requirements

REQUIRED

Must be able to work 5 days onsite per week in Toronto
2+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client web applications
2+ years of hands-on working experience of Java development with Oracle or SQL database
2+ years of hands-on experience of RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates)
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies

NICE TO HAVE

Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level
Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications
Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications
Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools
Experience in one or more programming languages
Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages

Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging
Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues
Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team
Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
Ability to provide user and system documentation as required
Experience in conducting impact assessments on Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions
Strong conversion experience in Account Receivable Collection modules
Strong programming skills in Oracle database, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripts and Oracle Data Integrator
Proven business knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable and Inventory Modules of Oracle E-Business
Great knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structure related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV and FND
Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and using partition tables
Demonstrated experience and understanding of data warehouse, ETL methodologies and OBIEE
Demonstrated work experience on Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)
Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities to oversee quality assurance from technical perspective

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Core Skills and Experience - 40%

2+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client web applications
2+ years of hands-on working experience of Java development with Oracle or SQL database
2+ years of hands-on experience of RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
Knowledge and experience of microservice architecture as well as a demonstrated ability to apply core architecture principles to enhance a product's extensibility and maintainability.
Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
Experience using Azure DevOps

Technical Skills and Experience - 35%

Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates)
Solid Understanding of Agile methodologies
Object Oriented coding practices, including design patterns knowledge, refactoring, clean code.
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages
Experience with one or more communications protocols
