Criminal eIntake is an online solution which allows police to electronically send and receive documents and data for consideration by a justice of the peace, which then automatically creates a new criminal case file. The application introduces efficiencies through integration with several records management systems used by Ontario's police services and the OCJ case management system. eIntake is the first step towards an electronically enabled criminal court, paving the way for an end-to-end electronic process in the Ontario Court of Justice. The team continues to collaborate with users to design, test, and build additional functionality into the solution.
