Project Overview

MCM is advancing a phased Heritage Framework Transformation (HFT) to modernize Ontario’s archaeology program through a modern risk-based authorization framework and related operational and IT improvements, enabled by MPBSDP Centralized Digital Permitting Service (CDPS) to strengthen heritage conservation, Indigenous participation, and regulatory oversight, while advancing housing supply, infrastructure expansion, economic growth, and provincial priorities. HFT aims to deliver end-to-end system transformation by addressing longstanding operational, digital, compliance, and consultation capacity deficits and replacing outdated, uncoordinated processes and legacy technologies.
