Project Overview
The project includes retirement or replacement of legacy TSM functionality, delivery of advanced video capabilities such as virtual waiting rooms, breakout workflows, provider and patient session management, video bridge workflows, and multi-party clinical encounters, and integration of virtual care scheduling and encounter workflows with hospital information systems such as MEDITECH, Epic, and Cerner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall test strategy, test plan, test schedule, test scenarios, test cases, automation approach, and test execution approach for Virtual Care Product modernization.
- Lead both manual functional testing and automated regression testing across frontend, backend, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows.
- Design, build, maintain, and execute Playwright automated tests for key user journeys, regression coverage, smoke testing, and release validation.
- Design, build, maintain, and execute Postman and vREST API test suites for REST APIs, FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR workflows, FHIR Subscriptions, integration endpoints, and backend services.
- Lead testing activities for retirement and replacement of legacy TSM-related functionality.
- Plan and execute testing for video workflow capabilities, including Zoom API integration, Pexip API integration, waiting rooms, breakout workflows, participant/session management, video bridge workflows, provider workflows, patient workflows, and multi-party encounters.
- Plan and execute testing for SMART on FHIR launch workflows, FHIR API integrations, FHIR Subscriptions, HL7v2 interfaces, Mirth integration engine flows, and HIS integration with MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, or related systems.
- Validate FHIR event-driven workflows, subscription notifications, topic/filter behaviour, endpoint delivery, payload content, retry/error handling, authorization, and downstream processing.
- Validate integration with NetIQ workflows, authentication, authorization, identity-enabled workflows, and role/context-specific access patterns.
- Coordinate functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, smoke, automated regression, accessibility, security/privacy coordination, performance, UAT, implementation readiness, and release-readiness testing.
- Create and maintain requirements traceability to ensure clinical, business, technical, integration, automation, privacy, security, accessibility, and operational requirements are tested.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Lead defect triage meetings and provide clear reporting on defect trends, blockers, testing progress, automation coverage, failed automated tests, release risks, and go/no-go recommendations.
- Work with development teams to support API testing, integration testing, interface testing, test automation, regression suite development, test data setup, and production validation.
- Prepare test summary reports, automation execution reports, release readiness assessments, implementation validation plans, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Support production implementation, warranty validation, and post-release defect investigation.
- Test strategy and test plan for Virtual Care Product modernization.
- Functional test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test data approach, and requirements traceability matrix.
- Playwright automated test scripts, automated regression suites, smoke test coverage, execution reports, and automation maintenance documentation.
- Postman and vREST API test collections, FHIR API test cases, SMART on FHIR test cases, FHIR Subscription test cases, test environments, assertions, and API regression evidence.
- Test execution results, evidence, defect logs, triage summaries, test status reports, automation reports, and release readiness reports.
- Validation of legacy TSM replacement functionality.
- Validation of Zoom API, Pexip API, video workflow, waiting room, breakout workflow, video bridge workflow, session management, and participant workflow capabilities.
- Validation of SMART on FHIR, FHIR API, FHIR Subscription, HL7v2, Mirth, MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, scheduling, encounter, patient, and provider integration workflows.
- Validation of The Agency provincial asset integration scenarios, including Provider Registry, Hospital Report Manager, Client Registry, provincial identity/access services, terminology services, or related provincial digital health assets where applicable.
- Validation of NetIQ workflow integration, authentication, authorization, and role/context-specific access scenarios.
- Regression, smoke, UAT, accessibility, performance, security/privacy coordination, implementation readiness, and release readiness test artifacts.
- Release readiness assessment, go/no-go input, and test summary report.
- Production implementation validation and post-release warranty testing support.
Qualifications & Requirements
REQUIRED
- Must be able to work onsite as needed
- Senior-level test lead experience on complex application modernization, integration, healthcare, or digital service projects.
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, test execution reports, defect reports, automation reports, and release readiness recommendations.
- Hands-on functional testing experience for React applications, Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, backend services, and database-driven applications.
- Hands-on automated testing experience using Playwright, including automated UI regression testing, test scripting, test execution, debugging, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on API testing experience using Postman and vREST, including test collection creation, environment configuration, assertions, regression execution, and API defect analysis.
- Experience testing healthcare interoperability workflows using HL7v2, FHIR APIs, FHIR Subscriptions, SMART on FHIR, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and Mirth integration engine.
- Experience testing HIS integrations involving Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, scheduling workflows, encounter context, patient/provider context, clinical data exchange, and interface error handling.
- Experience testing video platform integrations, including Pexip APIs, Zoom APIs, virtual visit workflows, meeting/session initiation, waiting rooms, participant management, video bridge workflows, and provider/patient workflows.
- Experience leading defect triage and coordinating testing across development, integration, vendor, clinical, business, privacy, security, and operations teams.
- Test leadership, test planning, test coordination, test execution, reporting, and release readiness assessment.
- Functional testing for healthcare applications, clinical workflows, provider workflows, patient workflows, scheduling workflows, and virtual care workflows.
- Automated testing using Playwright, including UI test automation, regression automation, smoke test automation, debugging, and CI/CD integration.
- API testing using Postman and vREST, including FHIR API testing, REST API testing, assertions, test data setup, collection management, and automated API regression execution.
- Healthcare interoperability testing using HL7v2, FHIR, FHIR Subscriptions, SMART on FHIR, OAuth/OIDC/JWT, and Mirth integration engine.
- HIS integration testing involving MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, scheduling, encounter, provider, patient, and clinical data workflows.
- Video platform integration testing involving Zoom APIs, Pexip APIs, waiting rooms, breakout workflows, video bridge workflows, session management, and participant workflows.
- NetIQ workflow testing, authentication testing, authorization testing, and role/context-specific access testing.
- Defect management, triage facilitation, test evidence collection, traceability, risk reporting, automation reporting, and go/no-go input.
- Communication, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Public Sector experience.

- Experience testing AWS OpenSearch, logging, monitoring, analytics, search validation, event processing, operational reporting, or production support dashboards in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with CI/CD-based automated testing, automated regression suites, test evidence capture, test reporting dashboards, and release gates.
- Experience with accessibility testing, privacy/security testing coordination, clinical stakeholder engagement, and release readiness for production healthcare systems.
