Project Overview

The project supports the City’s Enterprise Work Management Systems (EWMS) program by monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing the configuration of IBM Maximo 7.6 and Maximo Application Suite within the City’s work management technology ecosystem, including solution design, configuration, integrations, and delivery of a fully built, tested, production-ready system.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and review configuration of Maximo 7.6 and Maximo Application Suite within the EWMS ecosystem
Lead functional and technical solution design for the Maximo implementation
Configure and develop Maximo applications to meet divisional and business requirements
Design, build, and implement interface integrations with third-party and enterprise systems
Oversee realization of solution design into a fully built, tested, production-ready system
Develop, configure, upgrade, test, implement, release, and document software components within Maximo
Create IBM BIRT reports and BI dashboards using the Maximo application suite
Gather requirements, define features, and develop solution designs with stakeholders
Collaborate with Maximo technical staff to design, develop, and deploy new features and enhancements
Develop tested configurations and customizations and perform quality assurance activities aligned to QA protocols
Support functional test case development and execute unit, functional, integration, and application testing activities
Conduct unit testing in DEV and promote code to SIT/QA for UAT as needed
Prepare test plans, test cases, scenarios, and results documentation
Track and manage problems, defects, and issues within a large project
Analyze results and create reports for management as needed
Identify and document dependencies across tasks and teams
Provide technical guidance on legacy data conversion, data migration, data mapping, and data loading
Provide assessments and recommendations on new technology trends for effective use and acquisition
Work with technology teams and solution architects to address complex technical challenges and enterprise integration requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

REQUIRED

Must be able to work 3 days onsite per week in Toronto
Demonstrable experience in development and full lifecycle implementation of work and asset management solutions using IBM Maximo MAS, Maximo Mobile, and Maximo 7.6.x
Hands-on experience in Maximo application configuration and development based on client and business requirements
Experience leading and supporting large-scale Maximo implementations, migrations, upgrades, testing activities, and technical documentation
Experience with Maximo Business Objects and Web Beans (Java), Automation Scripts (Jython/Python or similar), and related customization frameworks
Experience building integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, GIS) using Web Services, RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and database technologies
Experience using version control systems such as Git or similar source code management tools
Experience developing Maximo applications, workflows, BIRT reports, Work Centers, queries, and PL/SQL components
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Maximo Spatial configuration and ArcGIS integrations
Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio .NET and/or Eclipse
Experience supporting test case development and testing activities (unit, functional, integration) within Maximo programs
Ability to translate business requirements into solution design, development, testing, and deployment activities within the Maximo platform
Ability to provide technical guidance and strategies for legacy data conversion, data migration, data mapping, and data loading
