Job Description

Background Information:

The purpose of this request is to acquire a Junior Business Analyst in supporting access to the Electronic Health Record (EHR), utilizing Ontario Health’s pre-existing methodology for onboarding. Validation of Health Information Custodian (HIC) and legal status via the Client Information Form will provide the path forward for identification. This resource will be required to categorize and map eCHN end users to Ontario Health’s pre-approved HIC types and validate the legally responsible person for pre-approval prior to migration to the Provincial Clinical Viewer.

Must haves:

• Understand PHIPA principles: consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of PHI.

• Know the roles of health information custodians and agents under PHIPA.

• Understanding of the Health Care Sector and access to the EHR in Ontario.

Responsibilities:

General Skills :

• Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess client’s business

problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that

solutions can be determined.

• Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the

project and phases of project, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management

• Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data

modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules

definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects

• Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to manager and

stakeholders

• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Desired Skills:

• Experience conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including

presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written

communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices

• Experience with a wide range of methods, tools and techniques for business analysis such as: business functional modelling, business process mapping

• Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.

  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement. 25 Points
  4. Experience with stakeholder engagement, with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills. 25 Points

Total Evaluation Criteria: 100 Points

Deliverables Include:
